CLAUDE KANYONGOLO BUELONGO Post: Chair of Board Nationality: Congolese (Democratic Republic of Congo) Mr. Buelongo is an educationist by profession having lectured in various institutes of higher learning in DRC, Rwanda and Kenya. His area of expertise is communication and technology. During his tenure as lecturer at Kenyatta University in Nairobi , Kenya , Mr. Buelongo worked in the Department of Communication and Technology lecturing in the use of technology in teaching and learning. He is currently working as a translator (English-French) and conference facilitator. Mr. Buelongo has published a number of works including teaching French in Kenya and training manuals on peace education
WANJIRA MUTHONI Position: Board Member Nationality: Kenyan Dr Wanjira Muthoni is a freelance consultant in gender, conflict management and HIV/Aids. She has worked extensively in Rwanda , Burundi , DRC and Ethiopia for various international organisations. She is also an interpreter and translator in English-French, having received her doctorate in Francophone African Literature at the Université Paul Valéry, Montpellier, France. Dr Muthoni lectured in French and African literature at Kenyatta University , Nairobi for 17 years. She is also a researcher, editor in English and French and a creative writer. Her published works include creative works of fiction for adults such as Reversed Dreams (1996), Cure for Executive Stress and Why God Created Woman. Her works for children include: The Bearded Woman, The Good Witch of Kiaritha-ini, Hurray No School and Il était une fois ŕ Bukavu. VINCENT KAWOYA Position: Board member Nationality: Ugandan Mr. Kawoya is an educationist having lectured in communication and technology at Kenyatta University for over 20 years. His area of expertise is Kiswahili. He has written a dictionary on Luganda and Kiswahili published by the Organisation of African Unity. He is currently updating this book to meet the needs of the current generation in Uganda now that Kiswahili is an official language of the East African Community. Mr. Kawoya is also an editor in English and Kiswahili. AUSTIN BUKENYA Position: Board member Nationality: Ugandan Prof Bukenya is a professor of literature in English at Makerere University . Before that he lectured at Kenyatta University for over ten years. He is an internationally renowned writer of numerous works of fiction. He is currently writing a book on popularising Kiswahili in Uganda . Prof Bukenya is also an editor in English as well as a researcher and creative writer of oral literature.
JOEL OTWOMBE Position: Board Member Nationality: Kenyan Mr Otwombe is an administrator at Kenyatta University . He brings in a wealth of knowledge and expertise on administration and events organisation. MWIYATHI MUTHONI WANJIRA

Nationality: Kenyan Mwiyathi Wanjira is a trained journalist having attained a B.A in Communication and Sociology as well as a Post Graduate Diploma both at the University of Nairobi. She brings in a wealth of experience in communication and journalism having previously worked for African Women's Development and Communication Network(FEMNET) as well as Royal Media Services.Ms.Wanjira is currently pursuing further training in communication at Université de Nantes, France.
